Strength in the Small Moments
An International Women’s Day Reflection
Some of the strongest women in the world are the ones no one ever writes stories about.
Some people think strength looks like winning.
Like finishing the race, reaching the summit, or conquering the impossible.
But over the past few years, I’ve learned something different.
Sometimes strength is simply waking up and choosing to keep going.
Today is International Women’s Day, and while the world celebrates incredible women doing extraordinary things, I want to celebrate a different kind of strength — the quiet, everyday kind.
The kind that lives inside a little girl who faces more challenges than most people ever will, yet still finds reasons to smile.
Our daughter.
She is, without question, the strongest little woman I have ever met.
She has taught us something no book, no business, and no life plan ever could: Life isn’t measured by the big victories everyone sees. Often, it’s shaped by the moments that might seem small to others.
A new sound.
A movement that wasn’t possible yesterday.
A laugh that fills the room.
A day that feels a little lighter than the one before.
When life changes in ways you never expected, your perspective shifts.
You begin to understand that tomorrow isn’t promised.
Plans change. Paths change. Sometimes everything changes.
And that’s when you realize how important it is to live fully in the moment you have.
To celebrate progress, no matter how small.
To notice joy when it appears.
To hold close the things that truly matter.
International Women’s Day is often about powerful leaders, innovators, and changemakers.
But today, I want to honour a different kind of strength.
A little girl who faces battles most people never see.
A girl who reminds us every day that courage doesn’t always roar.
Sometimes it simply whispers:
"Let’s try again tomorrow."
To all the women quietly carrying their own battles, finding strength on the hardest days, and moving forward one step at a time —
You are stronger than you know.
Today, I celebrate you.
And most of all, I celebrate the strongest little woman I know.
This International Women’s Day, the woman who inspires me most is still growing, still learning, and already stronger than anyone I know.
A Quiet Reminder
At Terra’s Touch, this perspective shapes everything we do.
It reminds us to slow down, to care for ourselves and the people around us, and to appreciate the small rituals that bring comfort to our days.
A deep breath.
A quiet moment.
Something made with care.
Because life isn’t only about the milestones we reach.
Often, it’s the simple moments along the way that carry the most meaning.
And for that reminder, we have the strongest little woman we know to thank.
